Questions

Is Cardwright free?

Yes. Designing and exporting is free. You only pay if you order printed cards from NeuralProxiesMTG on Etsy.

What is bleed, and do I need it?

Bleed is a little extra picture around the edge of a card, so a tiny shift when cutting never leaves a sliver of the wrong color. Fronts don't need it: Cardwright exports them at the exact card size and keeps a 1 mm safe zone so text stays clear of the cut. Card backs get 1 mm bleed by default, because a solid or patterned back shows any drift most. You can turn bleed on or off for fronts and backs whenever you like.

Do I need an account?

No. Your work is saved in your browser. If you want it on another device, use Save to cloud to get a private link, or save a design file.

Where do my photos go?

They stay in your browser. Background removal and pop-out run on your device. Photos only leave it if you make a share link, a cloud save, or send an order pack to us for printing.

Are these official Magic: The Gathering cards?

No. Cards made with Cardwright are fan-made and not for tournament play or resale. Cardwright is not affiliated with or endorsed by Wizards of the Coast or any game publisher.
